With over 7 years of clinical experience, Chandana Gopan is a dedicated and
compassionate Clinical Psychologist committed to helping individuals navigate
emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges through evidence based
care. She holds an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from SRM Hospital and is
licensed by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Her areas of expertise
include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, trauma-informed care,
psychological diagnosis, and family therapy.
Chandana began her professional journey at Solace Clinic, where she provided
outpatient psychological care and built a strong foundation in therapeutic
engagement.
She later served as a Behavioural Therapist under the *Child Developmental and
Mental Retardation Project (CDMRP)*, a collaborative initiative of the
Department of Psychology, *University of Calicut* and the *Social Justice
Department, Government of Kerala* , supporting neurodiverse children and their
families.
She later served as a Clinical Psychologist at *Nair’s Hospital* for four years,
working with both inpatients and outpatients, providing psychotherapy,
assessments, and crisis intervention for diverse psychiatric conditions. Her
clinical foundation is further strengthened by internships at *CMC Vellore* and
*Jubilee Mission Hospital* where she trained in multidisciplinary mental health
care.
She has participated in several professional workshops to stay updated with
best practices in psychological intervention and has also served as a resource
person for mental health awareness programs and training sessions. Her
therapeutic style is client-centered, trauma-sensitive, and grounded in clinical
expertise, fostering a safe and non judgmental space for healing, self
understanding, and personal growth.
